Q: What are the differences between iCarsoft EU Pro and iCarsoft CR Pro models?

A: The iCarsoft EU Pro model allows all systems diagnostic + programming on all European vehicle brands. The iCarsoft CR Pro model allows all systems diagnostic + programming on all vehicle brands, including American and Asian vehicles.

 

Q: What are the differences between the iCarsoft CR Plus, iCarsoft CR Elite and CR Pro models?

A: The iCarsoft CR Plus model allows the diagnostic of 4 systems (engine, transmission, ABS and AirBag) + oil change reset. The iCarsoft CR Elite model allows the diagnostic of 4 systems (engine, transmission, ABS and AirBag), oil changes and programming reset [injectors, DPF, steering wheel angle, brake pads, battery, ...]. The iCarsoft CR Pro model allows the diagnostic of all systems (engine, transmission, ABS, AirBag, electronics, ...), oil changes and programming reset [injectors, DPF, steering wheel angle, brake pads, battery, ...].

 

Q: Do I have to register and update my interface on receipt? Is there any software installed in the device?

A: It is indeed advised to update your interface to ensure that the latest software is installed on your product. You can easily do this by following our tutorials.


Q: How often should I update my interface?

A: You can update your interface at any time and check for new updates.

If your interface is working properly on your vehicle, there is no need to update.

Updates are usually released to solve certain problems on certain vehicles.

 

Q: Can I add other software to my MB V2.0 (for Mercedes-Benz / Sprinter / Smart)? For example, can I add Porsche software to MB V2.0?

A: No, it is not possible to add other brands to your single-brand interface.

The MB V2.0, for example, is designed for Mercedes-Benz / Sprinter / Smart only.

 

Q: My interface is in French or another language, how can I use it in English?

A: Simply update your interface to switch it permanently to English. You can do this easily following our tutorials.

 

Q: When I try to update my interface, the update software asks me for a password. How can I find it?

A: You can quickly find this password by going to the menu : [Help] -> [Tool Information] -> [Registration Code]

 

Q: When I try to update my interface, a message "These are not iCarsoft products" appears. How can I fix this?

A: If this error message appears, it means that you are using the wrong version of the update software.

For example, if you are trying to update an i900 case with the CR Plus update software, it is normal to see this message. Select the correct update software via our update page.


Q: Can I update my interface on a Mac?

A: Unfortunately not, our update software only works on PCs. All versions of Windows are compatible in 32 or 64 bits.

 

Q: My iCarsoft MB II interface (or other iCarsoft 2nd generation CR Plus scanners) is showing the message "Failed to use firmware files on SD card". What should I do?

A: Please format your SD card, restore the system, then run the update again.
